  2. According to the designer, the audio should be very good. Remove the 555 & anything connected to the 555 from the circuit, then connect one side of the mic to ground, and the other side to the capacitor leading to the base of the transistor, and you also add a 27? – 47k resistor from the mic+ to the power supply rail +.
